The Story

A small robot, a big world

Hugh is a small service robot, built by an old repairman in a workshop full of half-finished projects and well-kept tools. When his grandfather dies, Hugh is left alone — and decides to do the one thing he was never built to do: leave the workshop and go looking for friends. He is small, and the world is large and sometimes indifferent, but Hugh is curious, kind, and good at fixing things — including, it turns out, the people and machines he meets along the way. Slowly, he discovers that even a small robot can change the world.

The Film

Hugh — Animated Feature Film Project

Alongside the book, Hugh is in development as an animated feature film — built from the same characters, the same world, and the same small, hopeful story. Hugh is conceived as an expandable family entertainment property, beginning with an animated feature film, with a second story already in development.
